In 1998, a small group of men and women embarked on a momentous journey from a small home in Rivervale in their passion and pursuit for sharing the teachings of Islam.
These gatherings would mark the foundation of the renowned Daawah Association of Western Australia (DAWA), which opened its doors in 2001.
Today, DAWA continues to celebrate its achievements of spreading the beautiful message of Islam with Muslims and non-Muslims in WA.
1/ To introduce Islam to non-Muslims.
2/ To provide new Muslims with advocacy and support.
3/ To provide Islamic lessons, training and camps.
4/ To establish support services for Muslim families.
5/ To mentor Muslim youth to become role models in the society.
6/ To help new migrants integrate and become positive Australian citizens.
7/ To establish a positive dialogue between Muslim and non-Muslim organisations.
